Winthrop Child Neurology Associates, affiliated with Winthrop-University Hospital’s Children Medical Center, currently has three pediatric neurologists. All of them have academic appointments at Assistant and Associate Professor levels at SUNY Stony Brook Medical School. Our neurologists teach medical students rotating through pediatrics and neurology as well as pediatric residents during their three years of training. The neurologists are available 24 hours 7 days a week, caring for children with neurologic disorders of all ages, ranging from newborns to 18 year. They see patients in both the traditional Hospital setting as well as any outpatient emergencies. The division has three separate private offices located in Mineola, Bethpage and Commack. Our neurologists treat neurologic conditions including, but not limited, to Epilepsy, Seizure disorders, Neurological developmental delays, Hydrocephalus, Tumors involving the nervous system, Attention Deficit Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Learning Disabilities, Neuromuscular/Neurodegenaretive Disorders, Cerebral Palsy, TICS/Tourettes syndrome.
In our comprehensive Pediatric Headache Center, our neurologists complete neurological evaluations, conventional/alternative therapy including biofeedback, cognitive behavior therapy, acupuncture/acupressure and hypnosis.
